Yesterday’s 7 wicket victory over Cleethorpes in the Yorkshire Premier League Play-Offs will be the last time we’ll Mark Lawson in a New Farnley Cricket Club shirt as the vastly experienced all-rounder announced to his teammates in an emotional speech after the game that he’ll be locating to Huddersfield in the Winter to live and work. Everybody within the club knows how much he has done behind the scenes running the junior section and coaching the next crop of talented young cricketers through the right pathway to make their dreams come a reality on the big stage.
