New Farnley Cricket Club & Village Pub
New Farnley Cricket Club was established in 1952 and is based at the Barry Jackson Ground on Lawns Lane in New Farnley Village Leeds 12. The cricket club supports a 1st XI, 2nd XI & 3rd XI senior teams, juniors age group teams from U.9’s to U.15’s and a Sunday social team. The first and second teams are in Division 1 of the JCT 600 Bradford League. Junior teams play in the Heavy Woollen Junior Cricket League.
The 1st team has just won the Priestley Cup for the first time in their history beating Methley in the final on Bank Holiday Sunday and the 2nd team have just won the league by beating Pudsey Congs on the last day of the season to pip Woodlands to the title.
The club kitchen and bar/lounge area has undergone a massive refurbishment in January 2017 which has doubled the capacity and the club has various social functions on throughout the year including live entertainment on the last Friday of every month and every Sunday afternoon from 3.30pm – 6pm see below for upcoming live entertainment in 2018
We have two big screens situated in the club and all Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United games shown on SKY sports will be shown live in the club.
Square On The Lane Café
During the week there is food & drinks served Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am – 3pm at the ‘Square On The Lane’ cafe located inside the club and food is also available on Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 5pm until 8pm.
During 2018 occasional Sunday lunches will be available check with the café for details.
